Tor raises over USD 200,000 in first crowdfunding drive

The Tor Project announced in a blog post that it raised USD 205,874 from 5,265 people in its first crowdfunding campaign. The group said the funding will help it fund the development of new privacy tools, make the ones it has stronger and more resilient, or pay for things it needs, such as a funded help desk or an Arabic version of its website.
