TOT cancels talks with AIS on 4G agreement

Thai operator TOT has decided to discard a possible alliance with its concession holder Advanced Info Service (AIS) for the provision of 4G services, The Bangkok Post reports. The decision came after TOT announced last month that it would put off signing a contract with AIS for a while. TOT explained that it had put on hold the signing the contract with AIS because it wanted to make sure that the contract was legitimate, especially regarding Section 46 of the the Frequency Allocation Act of 2010, which stipulates that spectrum can only be allocated via an auction. The section requires licence
