TOT eyes THB 800 mln from AIS deal

Thai state-owned telecommunications carrier TOT hopes to earn revenues of at least THB 800 million a one-year deal with Advanced Info Service (AIS). TOT wants to rent out 5 MHz of unused 2.1 GHz spectrum to AIS for a 4G trial in Bangkok and a deal between the two companies is expected next month, after TOT's board approved the deal, The Bangkok Post writes citing TOT chief executive Yongyuth Wattanasin. TOT has 15 MHz of 2.1 GHz spectrum and uses it to provide 3G services.
