TOT told to change Samart MVNO contract

Monday 14 October 2013 | 03:31 CET | News
Thai state-owned telecommunications provider TOT plans to revise its new 3G MVNO contract with Samart after the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) warned the company. TOT had planned to sign the contract with Samart's 3G and handset unit Samart I-Mobile (SIM) in September. However, the OAG said the contract would place TOT at a major disadvantage, the Bangkok Post writes citing TOT president Yongyuth Wattanasin. TOT will have to go over certain details in the contract as required by the OAG and may need to postpone signing the contract until the revisions are complete.
