Totalplay expands fibre-optic network to 6 mln Mexican homes

Mexican triple-play operator Totalplay has announced that its fibre-optic network now reaches 6 million homes in 20 cities throughout the country. The company has invested a total of USD 400 million to expand its fibre capacity and offer faster connection speeds of up to 300 Mbps to its customer base of around 450,000 subscribers. Totalplay recently became the first Mexican operator to offer 4K UHD broadcasts, initially offering the service in the state of Nuevo Leon.
