Totalplay renews Mexico concession until 2055

Mexico's Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) has renewed the concession of operator Totalplay (Grupo Salinas) for another 30 years, from 2025 until 2055, reports Forbes Mexico. The concession will allow the company to continue providing triple-play services nationwide via a single concession for commercial use via any technically possible modality. Totalplay is currently the fourth-ranking fixed broadband and pay-TV provider in Mexico, with 7.7 percent and 4.9 percent of the market respectively.
