Toyota, Denso, SoftBank to invest USD 1 bln in Uber Advanced Technologies Group

Toyota Motor, Denso and the SoftBank Vision Fund (SVF) will invest USD 1 billion in Uber Technologies' Advanced Technologies Group (Uber ATG). The investment, in a newly formed ATG corporate entity, aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of automated ridesharing services, Uber said. Under the terms of the agreement, Toyota and Denso will together invest USD 667 million and SVF will invest USD 333 million, valuing the new Uber ATG entity at USD 7.25 billion on a post-money basis.
