TRA Oman issues guidelines to avoid network overload

Wednesday 29 April 2020 | 11:25 CET | News
Oman's Telecommunications Regulations Authority (TRA) has issued general guidelines to decrease pressure on the communications network. It advises avoiding use of the internet for entertainment during peak hours from 09:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs, to allow networks to meet the needs of the education sector, remote workers, medical communities, relief and accommodation teams. The regulator urges the public to avoid unnecessary video calls or sending a large number of visual content via social media applications.
