TRA signs MoU with Smart Dubai to launch a unified digital ID

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Smart Dubai to develop a unified digital identity system in the UAE. The project aims at integrating the SmartPass service of the UAE federal government with the Dubai ID service into a single system. The project supports the Smart Dubai paperless government and blockchain strategies.
