TRA UAE assigns 5G frequencies to Etisalat and Du

The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has assigned 5G frequencies to telecom operators Du and Etisalat in the 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz bands, as the country ramps up its digital transformation. Telecom operators in the UAE stand to gain an additional USD 3.3 billion in revenues by 2026 from digitising industries with 5G, according to a report from Swedish telecom company Ericsson.
