Transport for London passes 1 mln contactless payments

Friday 26 September 2014 | 10:00 CET | News
Transport for London (TfL) has accepted over 1 million contactless payments after nine days of launching the service across its wider network, TechRadar reports. There were 1,700 cases of card clash, when payment readers were unable to distinguish between a mobile device and contactless payment cards they are carrying. This figure is below TfL's estimate. Buses and trams racked up 785,000 contactless payments, and tube and overground lines 375,000.
