Trenitalia to sell tickets via Lottomatica PoS terminals

Italy's leading train operator, Trenitalia, has signed an agreement with betting and ticket services provider Lottomatica Italia Servizi to allow users to purchase single tickets as well as weekly and monthly regional travel cards via Lottomatica's 21,000 point of sale terminals throughout the country. Lottomatica, a subsidiary of Italian gaming services company Gtech, already provides a wide range of mobility services via its betting shops, while Trenitalia's ProntoTreno e-ticketing app was selected by Apple as one of the best apps of 2013.
