Tshwane expands free Wi-Fi project

South African city Tshwane and non-profit organisation Project Isizwe have launched the second phase of its free Wi-Fi initiative, with 213 new free internet zones coming online, including schools in the Atteridgeville, Mamelodi and Soshanguve townships, reports ITWeb. Project Isizwe said the FIZs allow users with Wi-Fi enabled devices to access the internet without any logins or passwords. A fair use policy limits users to 250MB per device per day and prohibits access to pornographic websites. Users can also access Tobetsa, a specialized content portal including research and educational
