TTA sets up IPTV standardisation committee

The South Korean Telecommunications and Technology Association (TTA) has created the IPTV project group to establish domestic standards related to IPTV. The project group will work on IPTV set-top box interoperability requirements, service scenario and middleware platform specifications, expected to be finalised in early 2007. The newly elected chairman, Professor Choi Jun-Gyun (ICU), is playing a central role in this initiative and TTA will move quickly on the standardisation of these specifications.
