Thai operator TT&T plans to invest up to THB 6 billion rolling out WiMAX servies nationwide this year, the Bangkok Post reports. The company is also ready to invest in its planned THB 50 billion 3G roll out, with Japan's NTT DoCoMo as the prospective strategic partner, once the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issues 3G licences and finalises licensing fees. Prasitchai Kritsanayunyong, senior vice-president for corporate finance, said TT&T planned to invest in the WiMax network once it receives a type-3 fixed-line licence from the NTC, expected by the end of this month.
