Turkcell says it will fight back against MTN in court

Thursday 2 November 2017 | 08:14 CET | News
Turkcell has hit back at rival MTN Group, accusing the company of advancing a variety of expected and meritless technical legal defences as the two companies prepare to square off in the high court in Johannesburg over the awarding a licence in Iran, Bloomberg reported, citing a statement. Turkcell said MTN's papers mean the case can "finally" be heard by the South African courts. Turkcell is seeking USD 4.2 billion in damages from MTN.
