Turkish controls on social media companies take effect from October

Turkey's new law strengthening control of social media has come into effect. The Information Technologies and Communication Authority said it held a meeting with officials from the ministry of transport and infrastructure, social media companies and NGOs to review the new rules approved in July and in effect from 01 October.
