TV and internet to drive Italian media growth to EUR 38 bln by 2021

Revenues from Italy's entertainment and media industry are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.9 percent from EUR 31.5 billion in 2016 to EUR 38.1 billion in 2021, according to a study from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The modest recovery of consumer confidence and gradual GDP growth are reflected in the state of the media, with user spending set to rise at a CAGR of 4.2 percent from EUR 23.5 billion in 2016 to EUR 28.9 billion in 2021, said the report.
