TV4 Play develops own system for tailored adverts, abandons cookies

Bonnier Broadcasting said its TV4 Play service is to start using a proprietary system in March rather than internet cookies for directed advertising. It said this will expand the volume of advert views and the reach of commercials. It said web readers and mobile phone manufacturers are now tending to limit the use of cookies, preventing advertisers and broadcasters from storing information about their audience.
