Twitter introduces keyword-based advertising

Twitter has introduced keyword targeting in timelines to allow advertisers to reach users based on the keywords in their recent Tweets and Tweets with which users recently engaged. The new feature is available in all languages and markets where Twitter Ads are supported. The microblogging service sees keyword targeting as a key capability for advertisers trying to reach users at the right moment, in the right context. Keyword targeting will not bring up more ads in timelines and users can continue to dismiss Promoted Tweets. Tests with Everything Everywhere, Microsoft Japan and Walgreens
