Two-thirds of German businesses hit by mobile cyberattacks

Companies in Germany are reporting a growing incidence of cyberattacks on mobile phones, according to new data from IDC. The survey of German companies revealed 65 percent had reported experiencing a cyber attack on a mobile device in 2016, an 8 percentage point increase on 2015. Around 26 percent of companies suffered losses of more than EUR 100,000 as a result of security incidents with mobile technologies last year. The survey also found 45 percent of mobile technology security incidents can be attributed to the business' staff.
