Two thirds of German smartphone users share photos online

Almost two thirds (63%) of smartphone users aged 14+ in Germany share photos on social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Flickr, according to a survey conducted by ICT industry group Bitkom. Almost every (99%) of smartphone users now take photos with their device, up from 38 percent in 2011. One in five (20%) share their photos 'frequently' online, with 1 in 7 (15%) doing so 'now and again'. Photo sharing is very popular with younger users - 85 percent of 14-29 year old smartphone owners put photos on social networks.
