Two thirds of Germans find smartphones indispensable

Two thirds of people in Germany (61%) cannot do without their smartphone at all, according to a survey by ICT federation Bitkom. This figure rises to 74 percent among respondents under the age of 30. It said users consider them more important than other devices such as traditional mobile phones, laptops or desktop PCs, although tablet computers are just as indispensable.
