U-blox abandons takeover of SimCom product line

U‑blox announced that it has agreed with SIM Technology Group to abandon its proposed acquisition of the SIMCom cellular module product line, as first announced in January. The company said that despite best efforts on the part of both groups, they could not close the deal as originally intended and were unable to find alternatives that worked for both whilst sustaining the intended benefits. The acquisition agreement and an associated technology contract were both cancelled amicably, and the companies will continue a good working relationship.
