U-blox trims FY outlook as Chinese market softens

Friday 24 August 2018 | 13:59 CET | News
Swiss wireless modules maker u-blox reported a 2.6 percent year on year rise in first-half revenues to CHF 199.0 million, with strong growth in sales of car connectivity devices offset by a soft China market. Net profit was up 39.3 percent year on year to CHF 25.1 million, mainly due to foreign exchange effects, with the net profit margin rising 3.3 percentage points to 12.6 percent. However, the company's EBIT was slightly down at CHF 28.5 million compared to CHF 29.5 million in H1 2017.
