U Mobile confirms 900MHz, 1800MHz spectrum allocation

Malaysian operator U Mobile has confirmed that it has been allocated 2x5MHz of 900MHz and 2x15MHz of 1800MHz for 15 years, with full implementation starting 1 January 2017. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) earlier announced the reallocation of spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands among four players, namely Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile.
