U Mobile to power live 5G healthcare trials with the University of Malaya

Thursday 29 August 2019 | 11:47 CET | News
Under the partnership, U Mobile will power CBMTI's Medcom medical communication device. The idea is for Medcom to enable the long distance management of trauma cases for general surgeons, anesthetists and specialised medical staff. The device can transmit live videos and other clinical data, as well as archive and retrieve the received information for remote supervision and consultation. With the application of Medcom powered by U Mobile's 5G network, patients in remote or underserved areas will have access to quality healthcare without having to travel for it.
