UAE allocates mmWave frequencies for 5G networks

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the UAE announced the allocation of a new frequency band that allows operators to expand the application of 5G. Frequencies in the millimeter-wave range between 24.25 and 27.5 GHz have been allocated to the development of 5G networks, a first in the Middle East and North Africa region, the TRA said.
