UAE and Indian telecoms regulators agree to cooperate

The UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in telecoms and ICT oversight. Key areas of cooperation include technological developments and new technologies; universal services, Mobile Number Portability (MNP), spectrum issues, green telecoms, e-government and e-services, participation in international events and forums, and other issues.
