UAE telecoms sector revenues rise 12.32% in 2014

Revenues from the telecommunications sector in the UAE grew by 12.32 percent to AED 32.8 billion from AED 29.2 billion in 2014, said the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). Gulf News reported that the TRA put mobile service revenue at AED 25.5 billion, internet services revenue at AED 4.6 billion and fixed telephony service revenue at AED 2.7 billion. The sixth Annual Sector Review said that the UAE had over 2.1 million fixed line subscriptions, 16.82 million mobile subscriptions and 1 million internet subscriptions.
