UAE TRA warns users over new ransomware virus

Thursday 29 June 2017 | 10:11 CET | News

The breach disabled, encrypted and locked out users from their computers unless they paid a ransom via Bitcoin, then hackers developed a new version of Petya by exploiting the same gap in the Windows operating system, named ExyernalBlue, in the SMBv1 protocol.
