Ugandan operators disagree with UCC, police and govt over mobile money monitoring

There is a dispute between telecom operators on one side, and the Uganda Communications Commissions (UCC), Uganda Police Force and State House on the other, reports the Independent. This concerns President Yoweri Museveni's plans to monitor the UGX 44 trillion mobile money business through the Intelligence Network Monitoring System (INMS), which the government put in place in 2017.
