Ugandan pay-TV market loses 8% of subscribers because of Covid-19 in H1

Ugandan pay-TV service providers suffered about an 8 percent contraction in subscriber numbers, or approximately 130,000 customers, in the six months to June, The Monitor reported citing the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). The drop was caused by the suspension of major sports activities both within and beyond Uganda. From the beginning March to June, the country was in lockdown with a number of sports activities suspended.
