Ugandan social media tax volumes fall to UGX 4 bln in December

Uganda's Over the Top Tax (OTT) collection volumes fell from an average of UGX 6.8 billion in September 2018 to an average of UGX 4 billion in December 2018, reports the Monitor, citing data from the Uganda Revenue Authority.  Government had envisaged a target of about UGX 24.9 billion every quarter but was only able to collect an average of UGX 20.5 billion in the first quarter to September 2018.
