UK broadband rollout continues nationwide

There were several developments in the UK broadband rollout during the week of 25 May. UK infrastructure operator CityFibre has announced plans to deploy a 150 km fibre network called the Edinburgh Core to transforming the Scottish capital into a Gigabit City and one of the world's best digitally connected. CityFibre will work in partnership with Scottish ISP Commsworld. The first phase will involve a 50 km city centre deployment passing over 7,000 businesses with the first to be connected by the late summer. Also in Scotland, the GBP 410 million Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme
