UK comes 31st in global broadband speed tests

A new global broadband speed league puts the UK in 31st place, according to an analysis of more than 63 million broadband speed tests. The data was collected by M-Lab over the 12 months to May 2017 and then analysed by Cable.co.uk. It shows that the UK has an average broadband speed of 16.51 Mbps, coming behind 20 European countries, including 17 in the EU. Singapore topped the table with an average download speed of 55.13 Mbps.
