UK Communication Consumer Panel seeks more VoD subtitling

The UK Communications Consumer Panel and Ofcom's Advisory Committee on Older and Disabled people (ACOD) have called on everything to be done to improve the provision of subtitles on catch-up TV and VoD film content. The bodies cite an online survey over over 3,750 people with hearing loss by the charity Action on Hearing Loss (formerly RNID) which found that more than two-thirds of people who pay for subscriptions would switch their TV service provider if more on-demand content with subtitles was available elsewhere.
