UK ends 2019 with 16.5 million smart meters installed

The number of smart and advanced meters operating in homes and businesses across Great Britain reached 16.5 million at end-2019, of which 14.73 million are domestic smart meters, according to the latest update from the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. This end of 2019 report includes all suppliers in the GB energy market.
