UK fast broadband connections to grow to 15.5 mln in 2020

Thursday 10 March 2016 | 08:51 CET | News
New players in the high-speed broadband market will boost connections in the UK by 70 percent over the next five years, from almost 9 million at the end of 2015 to more than 15.5 million by the end of 2020, according to research by IHS. In addition to BT's roll-out of FTTC, many smaller players in the UK are deploying FTTP networks, such as CityFibre and Gigaclear. IHS expects these players will attract new customers and serve as wholesale providers for other ISPs.
