UK fixed broadband subs up 339,000 in Q4

The UK's fixed broadband market ended 2014 on a high note, experiencing the best quarter for net additions since 2012 and the fourth best in the last five years, according to a report by Point Topic. The researchers estimate that additions between October and end-December 2014 stood at 339,400, representing the strongest quarter for the sector since early 2012. This takes fixed broadband penetration in the country to 78.3 percent, up from 75.6 percent year-on-year.
