UK govt extends smart meter roll-out deadline by four years

UK consumer group Citizens Advice has welcomed a decision by the government to extend the deadline for rolling out smart meters by for years to 2024. This follows publication of a National Audit Office (NAO) report in late-2018 showing that the programme was heavily over budget and behind schedule.
