UK govt plans to scrap BBC licence fee, sell radio stations - report

The UK government is preparing major changes for the BBC, reports the Sunday Times. The proposal would scrap the annual licence fee paid by households to fund the public broadcaster and force the BBC to downsize and sell off most of its radio stations, according to the paper's sources.
