The UK Government has officially launched the GBP 20 million 'Cyber Discovery' extracurricular training programme to find the next generation of cyber security specialists. The programme is part of the Government's GBP 1.9 billion investment to boost cyber security in the UK.

Young people aged 14-18 can take part and test their skills in online real-world cyber challenges. High-performing individuals will progress to regional camps and face-to-face meetings with cyber security experts. People have until early-January 2018 to take the assessment, with those shortlisted to participate in the pilot year of the programme announced in mid-January.
