UK govt wastes cybercrime awareness funds - survey

Research by YouGov and CSID shows that the UK wasted GBP 20 million on raising awareness about cyber crime in 2014/2015, reports The Register. Despite the GBP 20 million allocated to raise awareness, only a 'tiny portion' of the country is aware of the government's campaigns. The survey shows that only 13 percent of UK adults were aware of GetSafeOnline.org, and 84 percent did not notice any promotion of Safer Internet Day 2016.
