UK regulator looks into BT 'excess construction charges'

UK regulator Ofcom has opened an investigation into whether BT has been complying with charges it levies for excess infrastructure building, as determined by Ofcom's Business Connectivity Market Review (BCMR). The operator has provided Ofcom with information that indicates it may not have correctly applied certain exemptions to a number of leased line orders. This has prompted the regulator to look deeper into the matter.
