UK regulator probes use of term 'fibre' in broadband ads

The UK advertising regulator said it is investigating the use by operators of the term fibre when promoting their broadband services. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said that following the announcement of the government's plan for "full-fibre" services, it may be necessary to prohibit such a description for broadband delivered only partly over fibre.
