UK retail fixed voice revenues fall 2.7% in a year

Retail fixed voice telecom services generated GBP 2.03 billion of revenue in the fourth quarter of 2014, down 2.7 percent on the year-earlier period, according to telecom regulator Ofcom. BT's share declined by 0.8 percentage points to 46.2 percent over the same period. The country had 33.2 million PSTN lines and ISDN channels at the end of last year, down 0.2 percent on the end of 2013. Fixed broadband connections rose by 4 percent to 23.7 million, with BT's share rising by 0.8 points to 32 percent. There were 15.54 million retail ADSL lines, 4.54 cable connections and 3.65 million other
