UK second-largest Netflix market with 4.45 mln subscribers

The UK is Netflix's largest market after the US and one of its fastest-growing territories, according to estimates from Digital TV Research. The market researcher broke down Netflix's latest figures into country totals and put the UK at 4.452 million customers at the end of June, compared to 3.432 million six months earlier. Netflix launched in the UK and Ireland in early 2012. The US is still Netflix's biggest market, with 35.085 million paid subscribers for the streaming service. After the UK comes Sweden, with an estimated 940,000 customers at-June, up from 655,000 at the end of 2013.
