The UK Space Agency has approved funding to develop a new launch site for small satellites in Sutherland, Scotland. The Highlands and Islands Enterprise agency was awarded GBP 2.5 million in initial funding to develop the vertical launch site, which could be ready for operations by the early 2020s.
