Ukheshe, Telkom and Engen bring out app for tipping fuel pump attendants

Monday 25 October 2021 | 11:05 CET | News
South African fintech company Ukheshe has tied up with Telkom and Engen to develop a QR product letting motorists tip petrol station attendants and cashiers. They can scan a QR code using their Engen 1app or any payment app that supports Masterpass QR payments. By scanning the attendant's QR code, a tip is automatically deposited in their Telkom Pay digital wallet, from which they can withdraw funds from Pick 'n Pay or a CashExpress ATM, or use to buy airtime, data and other VAS.
